An eastbound UP train out of North Platte is heading east across eastern Nebraska to be interchange with the CNW near Council Bluffs. Silver Creek is located between Columbus and Grand Island.

CNW 6896 leads an ore train in full Fall colors at Goose Lake in 1988. Almost makes up for the demise of the Alcos on this line.
